Job Title: Production Photogrammetrist
Job Summary:
This
position is a technical lead within the photogrammetric production department,
responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient flow of work, troubleshooting
technical issues as they arise, and overseeing image and data-intensive
processing. Work within deadlines to ensure timely
delivery of mapping products and services which meet client specifications and
quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work on all aspects of
photogrammetric mapping production, including aerial triangulation,
automated terrain extraction, and LiDAR processing
- Process airborne GPS/IMU and
other ancillary data as necessary
- Oversee and refine automated
processing steps to improve production efficiencies based on comprehensive
understanding of the end-to-end workflow
- Assist in all technical aspects
of orthophoto production and image balancing
- Work closely and collaborate
with project managers and other team members within the mapping department
- Exercise problem-solving skills
within assigned responsibilities and duties
- Perform other duties or special
assignments as instructed by supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Photogrammetry,
Geomatics, Geography, Cartography, or related field and a minimum 1-3 years
experience in the mapping/geospatial industry, or equivalent practical experience.
ASPRS Certified
Photogrammetrist, Professional or Technical preferred, but not required.
Must
possess practical, working knowledge of the full photogrammetric production
workflow, including complete understanding of the Aerial Triangulation process,
LiDAR processing, DTM processing, Orthoimagery, and related areas.
Must have
experience working with various mapping production software, such as SocetSet,
Match-AT, Leica Photogrammetry Suite, Applanix POSPAC, AutoCAD, ESRI Arc GIS,
or similar.
Must have
excellent verbal communication and inter-personal skills and be a team player.
Must be comfortable working in high-paced, high-energy commercial production
environment.
