2000 Llagas Creek, CA Mapping
This project was undertaken as part of an open-ended contract between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, and the team consisting of Bestor Engineers, HJW GeoSpatial, and Sea Surveyor. The Corps required orthophotography and photogrammetric mapping with 1’ contours, of the 300-foot wide strip centered on the creek. The project area was 10 miles long. The Corps used the data for flood control analysis. HJW services included:
• Aerial photography at 1:3600, 78 exposures in seven flight lines,
• Aerial triangulation,
• Stereo compilation of DTM and generation of 1’ contours,
• Scanning, orthorectification, and mosaic of 78 exposures.
