San
Francisco, CA (2001)
In 2001,
HJW provided color digital orthophotography for the entire City
of San Francisco. Photography was flown at a scale of 1:6600
(1”= 550’). Contour mapping was compiled at 5’
intervals, and used to create the digital terrain model. Images
were scanned at a resolution of 10 microns (2540 dpi) for the
production of 0.25’ pixel orthophotos.
Prior to
this project, in 1991, HJW generated orthophotos at 0.25’
pixel size for San Francisco. For this project, photography
was flown at both 1:6600 (1”= 550’) and 1:12,000
(1”= 1000’) scales.
“The
high caliber of the orthophotos has enabled us to produce, with
confidence, a top quality basemap”
