2002
(1997-2002) City of Salinas, CA City-Wide Orthophotography and
NPDES Study
HJW was selected to prepare a city-wide digital orthophoto base
map for the City of Salinas, CA. The original project was designed
for 1”= 200’ scale orthophotos with pixel resolutions
of 0.5’ and 1’. The orthophotography was used to rectify
multi-spectral imagery that HJW had captured with the Positive
Systems ADAR 5500 camera. HJW classified the imagery to delineate
impervious surfaces for the City’s National Pollution Discharge
Elimination System (NPDES). Using ArcInfo, HJW overlaid the classified
image information with the city parcel data to make the association
between property boundaries and impervious surfaces. Over the
years, HJW has continued to update the orthophotography. HJW’s
services included:
• Aerial photography and aerial triangulation
• Scanning of aerial photography
• Digital terrain model compilation
• Orthophoto production of the city and sphere of influence
• ADAR 5500 multi-spectral image acquisition
• Image classification. |
