USGS Digital Orthophoto Quad Program
HJW was under contract with the U.S. Geological Survey to provide
digital orthophoto quarter quads (DOQQs) in softcopy form, meeting
National Map Accuracy Standards at 1:12,000 scale, and having
a resolution of 3.75’. The IDIQ contract called for one
base year and up to four optional years. HJW has completed close
to 15,000 DOQQs under this contract for regions in the states
of Missouri, Iowa, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Texas, Colorado,
Alabama and Alaska. To help supply the USGS with an estimated
range of up to 15,000 orthophotos per year, HJW had assembled
a team of 11 subcontractors. HJW was the prime contractor and
handled all aspects of project management and subcontractor communications.
All data processing and block adjustment was completed by HJW.
Monthly status reports and a final report at the completion of
each project were also provided. |
