Contra
Costa County, CA
(2004)
In 2004,
HJW successfully completed color orthophotos for Contra Costa
County. HJW was able to arrange a cost savings plan which enables
HJW to own the data, while the county maintains license to use
the data with their partners.
Half-foot
pixel orthophotos were generated from 1:15,000 scale (1”=
1250’) photography that was scanned at a resolution of
10 microns (2540 dpi). Softcopy compilation utilized superimposition
to perform DTM updates to support orthophoto production. The
project was completed and delivered to the County one month
ahead of schedule.
Additionally,
in 2000, HJW provided aerial photography, mapping and orthophotography
for the County. Contours were compiled at 10’ intervals,
and street centerline data was also collected. Orthophotos were
generated at two scales; 1”=200’ within the urban
areas, and 1”=400’ in rural areas. |
