Clark County, Nevada (2005)

We are currently under contract to provide Clark County, Nevada with aerial photography and orthophoto production on a bi-yearly basis. This contract began in 1998, and has continually been awarded to HJW since then.

We acquired color aerial photography at a scale of 1:15,000 (1” = 1250’) using our Zeiss RMK TOP camera. The flight mission utilized our airborne GPS/IMU position and orientation system, which is specifically called for in this project. The photography is scanned in-house at 20 micron (1270 dpi) resolution. The terrain data used to generate the orthophotos was produced using a combination of USGS DTM and auto-correlated DTM.

Two flight missions occur each year, one in the spring and one in the fall, and acquire approximately 3000 exposures. The resulting orthophotos are tiled by section and assembled in township and range books for the County Assessor’s database.
