HJW
AWARDED LIVERMORE VALLEY, CA COLOR ORTHOPHOTO AND CONTOUR MAPPING
CONTRACT
Oakland,
California, February 28, 2005 – HJW GeoSpatial (HJW),
Inc. has recently been awarded a contract to provide contour
mapping and color orthophotography of the Livermore Valley to
a consortium of government agencies. The cities of Livermore,
Dublin and Pleasanton entered into a consortium agreement to
update orthophotography and topographic mapping of the region
in order to better support their municipal services.
HJW will
acquire color photography at a scale of 1:7200 (1”= 600’)
for the production of 1”= 100 scale orthophotos in the
valley. Photography at a scale of 1”= 24,000 will be used
to generate 1”= 200’ scale orthophotos for the outlying
hilly areas. The photography will be used to support compilation
of 2’ and 10’ contours and update of the digital
terrain model used for orthophoto production. Orthophotos at
each respective mapping scale will have a pixel size of 0.5’
and 1’.
Prior to
this project, in 2003, HJW had provided orthophotos and contour
mapping with similar specifications for the City of Livermore.
Also in 2003, HJW provided 1”= 20’ scale mapping
of downtown Livermore for the City’s Engineering Division. |
