HJW
TO PROVIDE ORTHOPHOTOGRAPHY FOR HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT
Oakland,
California, September 16, 2005 – HJW GeoSpatial
(HJW), Inc. has been awarded a contact to produce color orthophotos
for a 134 square mile area of Butte County, CA. The mapping
project is located in the Desabla-Centerville area, and is in
support of a hydroelectric project for a major utility company.
Color photography
will be acquired at a scale of 1:12,000 (1” = 1000’),
utilizing airborne GPS/IMU for positioning. The film will be
scanned at a resolution of 21 microns (1210 dpi), facilitating
the production of orthophotos with a pixel size of one foot.
The terrain data used to generate the orthophotos will be produced
using a combination of USGS DTM and auto-correlated DTM. Once
generated, the orthophotos will be seamlessly mosaicked and
broken up into a regular tiling scheme. |
