AWARDED FRESNO COUNTY, CA LANDFILL MAPPING CONTRACT
Oakland,
California, December 29, 2005 – HJW GeoSpatial (HJW),
Inc., has been awarded a three-year contract to provide landfill
mapping services for Fresno County, CA, Department of Public
Works and Planning Resources Division. HJW’s aerial surveys
will be used to determine calculations for fill and excavation
quantities and/or subsidence for four landfill sites in the
County.
Among the services
for this contract, HJW will fly aerial photography at a photo
scale of 1”= 600’ (1:7200) for the support of 1”=100’
scale mapping with 2’ contours. The topographic digital
terrain data will allow HJW to perform surface and volume calculations
to support the County’s landfill management.
HJW has
extensive landfill mapping experience, and currently has ongoing
contracts with Allied Waste (formerly BFI), Sonoma County, Yolo
County, and Republic Landfill. HJW has also done rigorous landfill
mapping for the City of Palo Alto, CA.
