Photogrammetric
Mapping
HJW
performs stereo compilation and image point measurement
in both softcopy environments and optical-mechanical,
analytical plotter equipment. Softcopy compilation affords
the extra capability of superimposition, which is a requirement
for mapping updates. In this scenario, mapping technicians
are able to see their vector line work, the overlapping
photography, and any existing vector dataset simultaneously,
all in 3D. The technician is able to easily see where
older mapping needs to be updated to the new photography.
The technique of superimposition is also applied in our
quality control practices.
